ShelvIQ ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered inventory management platform operated by ShelvIQ. For privacy matters, contact us at shelviq1@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the service:
- Account data: Name, email address, business name, and encrypted password.
- Inventory & business data: Products, stock levels, sales, expenses, supplier information, and other records you enter into the platform.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, and error logs — collected to diagnose issues and improve performance.
- Device & connection data: IP address, browser type, and operating system — used for security (rate limiting, fraud prevention) and service delivery.
- Communications: Emails you send to our support address.
We do not collect payment card numbers directly. Card data is processed by Stripe (see §4).

4. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following sub-processors only to the extent necessary to deliver the service:

5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we may retain anonymized aggregate data for up to 90 days, then permanently delete it. Billing records are kept for 7 years as required by applicable tax law.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We may also use functional cookies for language settings. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
7. Data Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+. We implement rate limiting, brute-force protection, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your data.
8. Your Rights — GDPR (EU/EEA/UK Residents)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights:

- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
Do Not Sell My Personal Information: ShelvIQ does not sell personal information to third parties. If this policy changes, we will update this notice and provide opt-out mechanisms prior to any such sale.

10. Children's Privacy
ShelvIQ is a business platform not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.
11. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including using Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the platform. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

- Datos de dispositivo y conexión: Dirección IP, tipo de navegador y sistema operativo — utilizados para seguridad.
- Comunicaciones: Correos que nos envíe a soporte.
No recopilamos números de tarjetas de pago directamente. Los datos de pago son procesados por Stripe (ver §4).
3. Cómo Usamos su Información
Usamos su información para: proveer y mantener la plataforma; procesar pagos; enviar correos transaccionales; garantizar la seguridad; mejorar el producto; y cumplir con obligaciones legales.
